Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Senseo HD7810/75 1450-Watt Single-Serve Coffeemaker, Blue

Customer Review: Senseo Coffee Maker
Summary: 5 Stars

This is our second unit. We had one in our home and also had to have one in our 5th wheel trailer for use on the road away from home (to much trouble moving one around, LOL). Best price we found was here on Amazon.

Customer Review: Good purchase
Summary: 5 Stars

Very convenient, however even after flushing it, putting the washable parts in the dishwasher, etc there was a noticeable 'plastic' taste for the first week. It seems to have gone away now but that was disappointing. It's also a bit noisy but a small price to pay for the easy to use features and the speed and ease that I can now make a cup of coffee quickly with no clean-up.

Customer Review: One of the best pod coffemakers
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my second Senseo Single-Serve Coffemaker and I am so happy that I also chose the extra large water container as it really does save on refilling every time you make a couple of cups of coffee.

I have never had a problem with either the first or the second coffeemaker. Some reviewers don't care for the flavor of the Senseo Coffee Pods but we like the flavor and haven't had any quests' complaints.

I flush out the coffeemaker every couple of months with vinegar because we have hard water. The only suggestion I would make from my experience in using coffee pods is when I tried to substitute other brand coffee pods that stated they could be used on the Phillips Senseo Coffeemaker, water leaked during the brewing process. I don't know if it was because the pod didn't fit correctly or why it happened. I eventually went back to using the Senseo coffee pods and had no further leaking problems.

Customer Review: Senseo: Great Machines, Horrible Coffee
Summary: 4 Stars

I got one of these directly from Senseo as part of a promotion where I was supposed to share the product with friends and family. After my first few cups of Senseo coffee (included) I don't think they would've wanted me to be sharing my opinion with friends and family. Following some suggestions in other reviews here and elsewhere I tried getting some different brands of pods online. This made a HUGE improvement. I now have quick, easy, and delicious coffee. Additionally, most of the pods I found will make a full 8 oz with only one pod so you don't have to go through two pods for every normal sized mug of coffee. It's still not quite up to a freshly ground cup of premium coffee which I prefer when I have the time to deal with all the prep and cleaning of the normal coffee maker, but is great when I'm running late or need a quick caffeine fix before I can even function. My only complaint at this point is that the included reservoir only holds 20 oz, but they have a larger replacement available that I'm considering. If you're looking for something to make a quick cup of tasty coffee, I'd recommend this product but only with non-Senseo pods!

Customer Review: Great Value
Summary: 5 Stars

This thing is awesome! Good coffee quick! Little clean up and very convenient. I like the senseo brand coffee, but I would not consider myself a connoisseur. To get a large cup of coffee you need to use the 2 pod holder. I purchase the pods from Amazon and it ends up costing approx $2 per large cup of coffee. For the price paid ($38) this thing is the best money I have spent to date.
