Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Senseo HD7810/75 1450-Watt Single-Serve Coffeemaker, Blue

Customer Review: leaky seal
Summary: 1 Stars

I excited about this product. After only a few uses, it began to leak water out of the top of the unit when operating, I wasted many expensive coffee pods. I have contacted customer service at Phillips who have promised to replace the unit weeks ago, I have yet to receive the replacement.

Customer Review: I love it! I love it! I love it! Perfect for the whole family!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got this product and I really love it! You can have 2 4oz. coffee mugs or 1 8oz. coffee mug. I really love the froth that comes out on top of the coffee. I make ice coffee most of the time, but I do make hot coffee as well. I don't like the Senseo coffee pods that come with it (Really tastes Nasty)! I love the Melitta coffee pods (that I bought off of Ebay) and I am going to try the Java Podz next. My parents like the Melitta coffee pods also (It was a better taste, my favorite so far is Hazelnut). I recommend the Senseo Single Serve Coffee Maker for the whole family or small get-togethers. Please just don't get the Senseo coffee pods. I really recommend that you try the other coffee pods as they are much better.

Customer Review: PRIME it ONE TIME! PODS cost TOO much...
Summary: 3 Stars

well, one reviewer thought you had to PRIME it every day....

that was his bane. actually, it's SO easy to use. if you buy the DARK roast, at least it tastes like a decent cup of coffee. don't by mild or it will taste like old percolated coffee. or worse.

my wife loves it and this was her introduction to coffee! easy for her to use.

but MY MAIN PROBLEM is the POD expense.

no, no, the ECOPODS don't help. a hassle to load. and even the finest coffee in the world just doesn't taste all that great.

the SENSEO is quite convenient.

but it's a matter of diminishing returns if you want a SUPERB gourmet cup of joe.

love the foam, but....i'd actually rather keep doing THE best way to brew a cup: the MELITTA method

:)

Customer Review: Coffee When I want it!
Summary: 5 Stars

Let me just say that I have had this model for a couple of years and have never had a problem with it. It does not leak. It does make a perfect 4oz or 8oz cup of coffee with crema. In fact, I am off to get a cup now.

Customer Review: Good but could be better
Summary: 3 Stars

I like the ease of use but would like to get better tea selection and larger cups of water each time. Overall though I like and will continue to use it for the price.
